Jelado Skull/Snake Souvenir Jacket

For 2025/2026, Jelado presents 'The Cream of The Cache'  collection, a carefully curated project spanning the year to recreate the brand’s most exceptional vintage pieces. These are all inspired by Goto-san's vintage archive, his expert knowledge in vintage clothing and modern day manufacturing. The phrase 'cream of the cache'  is a coined expression meaning 'the finest collection', a fitting description for this celebration of vintage style and craftsmanship.

Among the super-rare sukajan in Jelado’s archive, the skull design stands out as one of the most elusive. Faithfully reproduced down to the smallest detail, this piece mirrors the original artwork exactly.

The original skull-motif sukajan was sold as a 'hanging souvenir', proving far less popular than classic designs such as dragons, hawks, or tigers. As a result, production numbers were extremely limited, and surviving examples are now exceptionally rare.

This superb Sukajan from Jelado is constructed from 100% cotton velveteen on one side and features an embroidered skull either side of the chest and skull/snake motif on the back. The other side is made from rayon satin and is finished with an embroidered hawk. Padding is formed from thick scrap cotton, recreating the reassuring weight and comfort expected of a true vintage piece.To further capture the essence of the vintage example, the quilting is entirely hand-quilted & sewn, reflecting the craftsmanship of original sukajan production. A zip front and two slash pockets feature on both sides.
