Vasco Leather Postman Shoulder Bag (Small) Black

Inspired by the utilitarian mail bags issued to U.S. postal workers from the early 1900's through the 1960's, this leather shoulder bag blends archival design with exceptional craftsmanship. The silhouette remains faithful to the original which is practical, robust and built for daily use.

The bag is crafted from soft, full vegetable-tanned kip leather, each hide individually hand-dyed using the traditional hill-dyed method originating from Santa Croce, Italy in the 19th century. This labour-intensive process, now practiced by only a small number of skilled artisans, produces depth and nuance that industrial dyeing simply cannot match. After dyeing, the leather is shaded with a burnt finish, creating a warm, charred patina and a texture reminiscent of well-aged vintage postal gear.

The Postman Shoulder Bag has an adjustable & detachable shoulder strap, a buckle flap closure and is fully canvas lined with a separate compartment to house whatever you need.
